If we look at the development in the consumer technology sector, it sometimes seems that artificial intelligence is the solution for almost every conceivable task. With new devices or software applications, people nowadays expect at least a part of them to be based on AI. There’s also no doubt that there’s a certain amount of hype around the technology, inspired by its promising possibilities and results. Even in industrial applications such as automation and quality assurance of production processes, the capabilities of AI are continuously contributing to increasingly advanced solutions.
