New sensors for the ultra-fast uEye+ Warp10 industrial cameras

Series production of the new uEyeWarp10 camera models will start in April, 2023. They are equipped with the Sony Pregius S sensors IMX535 (12 MP), IMX536 (8 MP) and IMX537 (5 MP). The special feature of these fourth-generation sensors is the combination of global shutter and BSI technology. In addition, the pixels are only 2.74 µm in size and therefore around 20 per cent smaller than those of Sony’s second-generation sensors with the same resolution.

On the one hand, customers benefit from a very good price-performance ratio per megapixel resolution. On the other hand, this allows the use of cost-effective C-Mount lenses since, thanks to the higher pixel density, these sensors require a smaller image circle for the same resolution.

The new models are the smallest board-level cameras in the IDS portfolio, but cover an enormously wide range of tasks with the CMOS sensors onsemi AR0234 (2 MP), onsemi AR0521 or AR0522 (5 MP), Sony IMX415 (8 MP) and Sony IMX412 (12 MP). They fit perfectly into our low-price portfolio. It is aimed, for example, at customers who need cameras in high volumes and with a basic range of functions.
